What we do

Positive Care Link Provides domiciliary and personal care services for any member of the following service user groups, older people, people affected by HIV/AIDS, mental health problems, dementia, Covid 19 related conditions ,learning disabilities, children and families, personal or family carers. We have sound principles for the way we run our service. Central to these is our belief that the rights of service users are paramount.

Our Vision

Positive Care Link is a leading provider of health and social care to enhance the quality of life for people from ethnic minorities groups, especially Africans facing the challenges of long term illness like HIV/AIDS and other disabilities, that leave them house bound. PCL provides health and social care support as well as information and advise to promote the general well being of those affected by these conditions, their children and families.

Supporting PCL

You can support PCL in various ways You can offer to volunteer. PCL is looking for people who can devout their time to care work, managerial, clerical and administrative work, fund-raising and publicity, development and running of community projects, etc. PCL values and welcomes retired professionals who still need to put their skills to use both as trustees or operational staff. You can work as a paid carer. This is the biggest contribution people have made to PCL and the African community over the years and guess what, it is still required. You can make any donation to PCL. This can be any amount of cash or any valuable article in kind. You sponsor any of our core activities eg annual report, this web site, etc. We have a clean track record of stewardship and all these will benefit the client group. You may make grant funding to PCL. More than 30% of PCL’s turnover income is in form of grants but most of these are short term and may not be there next year. If our objectives and activities meet some your criteria we should send you more information or apply for a grant if you say yes. PCL Staff

PCL STAFF Positive Care Link is currently run by a six member management committee which is elected on an annual basis. The current Management Committee members bring over 15 years of experience of the health and social care sector, voluntary and community sector as well as a high profile career in education. They all have a great deal of experience of project management particularly working within and on behalf of the voluntary, community and public sector organizations. They have high competence in communications, project management, finance, funding, customer service and customer relationship management. In their current role they provide a stable platform for delivery teams to operate efficiently and effectively. All senior staff have all the relevant qualifications, knowledge and experience in areas of HR, finance and resource management; company policies and procedures and administration. to enable them provide a quality service to our service user group. They have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with funders, programme partners and key stakeholders. Their current roles ranges from managing the implementation and delivery of service, recruiting and selecting front line staff, coaching and mentoring, supporting staff development and providing advice and guidance. Front line staff have all the relevant qualifications, knowledge and skills to enable delivery a quality service. They have all been trained to a Level 2 in Care
